This 12-day expedition spans from the dense alluvial grasslands of Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary to the Himalayan foothill wilderness of Manas National Park, the secluded Golden Langur habitat in Kakoijana Reserve Forest, the world-renowned safari zones of Kaziranga National Park, the primate-rich canopy of Hoollongapar, and deep into Upper Assam's Dehing Patkai National Park—the 'Amazon of the East.'
Encounter rhinos, tigers, elephants, wild water buffaloes, Golden Langurs, Western Hoolock Gibbons, and rare avifauna including the White-winged Wood Duck and Great Hornbill, accompanied by ethnic culinary experiences and local Rabha hospitality.

Guwahati to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary
Meet your representative at Guwahati Airport and travel to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its high density of great one-horned rhinoceroses. Arrive, settle in and enjoy a relaxed evening in the surrounding countryside.
Pobitora safari & travel to Manas
Set out on an early morning jeep safari across Pobitora’s alluvial grasslands in search of rhinos and migratory waterbirds. After breakfast, drive west to Manas National Park, set along the foothills of the Bhutan Himalayas. Check in at your lodge and relax.
Explore Manas National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon jeep safaris in this UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore savannah grasslands, riverine forests and subtropical woodland in search of elephants, tigers, swamp deer and birdlife along the Manas River.
Golden Langur tracking at Kakoijana
Travel early to Kakoijana Reserve Forest, an important habitat for the endangered Golden Langur. Walk forest trails for primate photography and enjoy a traditional Rabha meal hosted locally. Return to Manas in the late afternoon.
Manas to Kaziranga
After breakfast, drive east towards Kaziranga National Park. Arrive in the afternoon, check in to your resort and prepare for the upcoming safaris.
Kaziranga Big Five safaris
Explore different safari zones on morning and afternoon jeep safaris. Tall elephant grasslands, wetlands and tropical forests provide habitat for rhinos, wild water buffaloes, elephants, swamp deer and tigers.
Kaziranga to Jorhat
Enjoy a relaxed morning at your resort or visit Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park. Later, drive to Jorhat, known as the tea capital of Assam.
Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary & Nimati Ghat
Take a guided forest walk through Hoollongapar’s semi-evergreen canopy to look for the Western Hoolock Gibbon, capped langur and stump-tailed macaque. In the afternoon, explore wetlands near Nimati Ghat for waterbirds and enjoy a river sunset.
Jorhat to Dehing Patkai National Park
Drive east into Upper Assam to Dehing Patkai, often called the “Amazon of the East.” Check in to your eco-lodge and enjoy an evening surrounded by tropical lowland rainforest.
Dehing Patkai rainforest walks & birdwatching
Explore the rainforest on guided nature walks. Look for primates, elephants, elusive cats and rainforest birds such as the White-winged Wood Duck and Great Hornbill. Return to your lodge afterwards.
Departure
After breakfast, travel to Dibrugarh or Guwahati Airport for your onward flight.
